As Eleanor Roosevelt once stated, "The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."
Today, people are so busy that they lack a sense of adventure. It seems that a person’s life would have a bit adventure in it, or it wouldn’t be very enjoyable. In my opinion, adventure is one of the essence of life. The willingness to undertake adventure is a necessary part of a happy existence. As human beings we rarely try something new. Why would we want to seek new adventures when what we’re doing is so comfortable? In fact, even when we get that little inkling that we should try something new; our minds quickly shut it down. Approximately 42 percent of Americans can’t remember the last time they attempted adventure, according to a recent survey. So, there is a need to put an end on this kind of mindset and we must start bringing something adventurous to our lives to find out who we really are! It is well said that by ANDRE GIDE that,
“It is only in adventure that some people succeed in themselves – in finding themselves”
Many people find adventure in sports or in their jobs. Here a question comes to our mind that how a job could be adventurous? The answer is very simple. In order to make something adventurous, there is no need to take high risks at the sake of your life. One can make our simple daily routines adventurous by changing our outlook to see things. For instance, a lawyer has two options – one is to take his case serious and start taking tension that whether he will win or lose it and on the other hand, he can also take it as a challenge and as a thrilling adventure in which he will be going to beat his opponent lawyer.
Without adventure, one can live a life but can’t enjoy it. So in order to make best out of us, one must do something adventurous in life and make your life worth living and it will also drive one out of dull, boring and monotonous life. It is well said that by WILLIAM FEATHER that,
“One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as AN ADVENTURE”
So, It's right time now to stop putting off climbing that mountain and seeing that national treasure or learning a new language. Research shows that people who take part in a variety of experiences are more likely to retain positive feelings than people who have lesser experiences, as reported by Times. Furthermore, even the tiniest experiences can have effect on our joy like moments of a spontaneous laugh with a loved one or an encounter with a friendly dog etc.
Also, there is nothing like an adventure trip when you aspire to broaden out your horizons and your daily life routine circle. When you go on a trip to distant lands, there you meet varied kinds of people and you can experience and immerse yourself and enjoy a culture that is completely and absolutely different from your own culture. Going alone is the best way to experience this as , not having with you anyone of your own kind and place with you will take you out more elaborately to socialize with the locals even more. Such adventurous journey will definitely changes your perspective by making you acknowledge the diversity of the world and the smallness of our own lives and routines pitted against it.
