Environment is defined as the surrounding or condition in which a person, animal, or plant lives and operates. The natural world as a whole on a particular geographical area especially as affected by human beings, Environment is everything that surrounds us be it living or non-living. It also includes physical, chemical and other natural forces. In the environment there are different interactions between animals, plants, insects, soil, water, and other living and non-living things.                                                                                                                                                All energy sources have some impact on our environment. Fossil fuels, coal, oil and natural gasses do substantily more harm than renewable energysources by most measures including air and water pollution, damage to public health, wildlife and habitat loss, water use, land use, and global warming emissions. The effects of oil spills can have wide ranging that are often portrayed by the mediaas long as lasting environmental disasters. Such perceptions are understandable as they are often fuelled by distressing images of oiled birds and other wildlife.  Environmental effects are also harmful effects of human activity on the biophysical environment. Environmental protection can also be carried ot by protecting the natural environment on individual, organisational or government levels for benefits of both the environment and humans in the surrounding.                                                                                                                                            Environmental effects cause alot of harm and danger to the environment and society at large which also affects most of all human activities thus being a great disadvantage to the environment and area and society at large but can also be prevented to create a healthy living environment. The environent is all that generally surround us and over time, direct and indirect human activities combine to collectively impact the environment. These effects may differ from the original individual activities like: ecosystem can be damaged by the combined effects of human activities like : air, land, water pollution, improper handling of industrial waste and other human development activities. Global warming is one of the cumulative effects caused by too much or too many greenhouse gas and it may then cause a loss in bio and acid rain. Oil and gas are also a great environment effect to the surrounding because these oil and gas create cumulative environmental effects like water pollution which can affect whales and oil pollution which is exposed to seabirds can kill them. Oil and gas activities are usually only though to be affecting one region of an eco system or system in the surrounding or environment but it is important to realize the connective nature of populations in different regions and also oil and gas activities can even disrupt the population of a species that is in more than one region and these greatly affect or the effects may harm migrating populations so every aspect must be considered in the management of offshore oila and gas activities in different parts, regions or countries. Air pollution as an environmental effect, is caused by sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxide human emissions like: electricity, generation, factories, and vechicles. Electrical power complexes using coal as its among the greatest contributions to gaseous pollution that are responsible for acidic rain. The gases can be carried hundreds of kilometers in the atmosphere before they are converted to acids and deposited which can then cause wide spread of ecological damage. Recycling is also important in the environment because if we do not recycle recyclable materials it will increase ar pollution and water pollution and as well increase green house gas emissions caused by plastic production as these are negative contributors to cumulative environment effects that can cause high chances of global warming. The environmental effects can both be negative and positive thou there mostly with the negative side as a way of causing danger and harm to the environment or mans surrounding.
